ARMIN SHOHRATI
Visual Artist, Filmmaker & Photographer
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Armin Shohrati is an Iranian visual artist, filmmaker, photographer, and graphic designer based in Ottawa. His interdisciplinary practice explores migration, memory, displacement, and emotional landscapes through video art, performance, photography, and installation.
His work is informed by experiences of migration and the psychological spaces created between belonging, loss, memory, and uncertainty. He often uses everyday objects, moving images, sound, and the body to create environments that invite audiences to engage with these experiences both physically and emotionally.
